Amanda joined TPC in May 2026. She started her career in conservation with the Conservation Corps, which introduced her to a large variety of conservation work. As a crew leader for American Conservation Experience, she gained experience primarily in trail work and ecological restoration on public lands throughout the Eastern United States. After some time in a more office-based role, she is excited to get back into the field and spend more time in the ecosystems of Western North Carolina. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and knitting.
“My favorite thing about Pisgah is the incredible diversity found here. The wide range of ecosystems allows for a huge variety of wildlife. Each time I go into the forest, I find something new, whether it is a mushroom, a salamander, a bird, or a plant.”
