Emma was born and raised in Boone, North Carolina, and she moved to Asheville to attend the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2022. She graduated in May 2026 with a B.S. in environmental science and a minor in biology. Growing up in Western North Carolina and through her educational experiences, she has developed a love, care, and passion for the outdoors. She is interested in stream ecology, sustainable agriculture, and plant biology.
