Kevin worked with TPC as a seasonal Trail Crew member for three seasons, starting in October 2023, before stepping into the year-round role of Assistant Trail Crew Leader in March 2026. He received a bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management from Kent State University. Kevin began working for the American Conservation Experience, where he served on trail crews in both Arizona (2019) and North Carolina (2021). After serving with ACE, he began working on trail crews at Great Smoky Mountains National Park with the National Park Service. He was also able to supplement these summer seasons by working with TPC during the winter months. Kevin spends his weekends in the Asheville area with his girlfriend and new dog.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work and explore in a national forest that’s in my backyard. Working here gives me the chance to explore new areas that I may not have discovered otherwise. Being able to hike with my dog in the forest is a huge plus, too. My favorite view so far is from the top of Tennent Mountain.”
