“I always look forward to another day in the forest, whether it’ll be spent searching for the first spring blooms like trillium and bloodroot; trekking through the wild blueberries summer brings and cooling off in a rhododendron-lined river; admiring the autumn foliage as it reclaims the mountains; and taking in winter’s long-range views. No matter the time of year, I love the excitement I feel before each new adventure in the forest and the overwhelming sense of gratitude I’m always left with for the special place.”
