Peter retired in 2019 after a career in investment banking at Wells Fargo in Charlotte, Bankers Trust in New York, and Continental Bank in Chicago. He and his wife, Amy, have been major donors, fundraisers, and public policy advocates for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. They’ve also served on the board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Western North Carolina Chapter. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dartmouth College and his Master’s degree in Management from the Kellogg School of Management. Peter spent his earlier years as a camper, camp counselor, and student in New Hampshire’s White Mountains where he enjoyed hiking and helping to maintain trails. After raising their family in Charlotte for 22 years, Peter and Amy began visiting Pisgah more and more. They decided to retire and move to the Brevard area, and they now call Pisgah Forest home.
“I love Pisgah for its unmatched diversity in terrain, vistas, waterways and vegetation, which means that the next hike or ride always provides something new. The forest offers unique choices and easy access for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels; not only hikers, riders and climbers in search of extreme experiences, but also dog walkers, anglers and picnickers seeking refuge within a pristine wilderness.”
