Be a part of the next Pisgah Conservancy success story:

In Spring 2025, our Trail Crew repaired and reset a bridge on the Art Loeb trail at its intersection with the Estatoe trail.

This particular trail bridge was washed off its moorings by the high waters of Hurricane Helene, and it had previously taken a beating during Tropical Storm Fred.

Our crew constructed new, more durable abutments on both sides that sit 16” higher than the previous abutments.

They then used a grip hoist to rig and reset the 30-foot bridge atop the new abutments, allowing for higher passage above the waters of Joel Branch and a more durable bridge structure that should better withstand future severe weather events.
