Be a part of the next Pisgah Conservancy success story:

The bridge structure itself was still intact after Hurricane Helene, however, the flooding caused by the storm had dislodged the bridge and pushed it downstream into the creek. The stream banks were also eroding beneath where the bridge had shifted to.

Our crew constructed new abutments for the bridge in a more secure location. They then positioned the bridge structure atop the new abutments and installed a step on either side of the bridge.

Our crew also constructed a new handrail for the bridge, as the previous handrail had sustained damage during the bridge’s journey downstream.
