We’re honored to announce The Pisgah Conservancy is this year’s recipient of the Brevard / Transylvania Chamber of Commerce Tourism Trailblazer Award!
On the evening of September 19th, 200 people attended the Chamber’s annual gala and awards dinner to celebrate local businesses and individuals who have made major contributions to the vitality and success of the Brevard economy over the past year.
The final award of the evening, the Tourism Trailblazer Award, was presented by Explore Brevard Chair Dee Dee Perkins and Executive Director Clark Lovelace.
In her remarks, Dee Dee spoke to the heart of our mission:
“Pisgah doesn’t magically take care of itself. Trails wash out, streams get jammed, and invasive plants don’t exactly pack their bags and leave on their own. That’s where this year’s Trailblazer steps in and steps up.”
This award recognized the work we do, from restoring trails, improving habitats, rallying volunteers, and collaborating with partners to protect both Pisgah’s natural resources and the visitor experience that supports our local economy.
We are humbled by this recognition and grateful for our volunteers, partners, and supporters who make our work possible. Together, we’re ensuring that Pisgah remains both wild and welcoming for generations to come.
Thank you for the honor and the ability to continue this great work, and congratulations to all of the evening’s award recipients!
